The Northside Fight Club is dedicated to  training fighters for competition in Mixed
Martial Arts competitions, kick boxing, submission wrestling and Karate for adults,
teens and kids. Teens and kids may not compete in MMA.  Teens may compete in full contact kick boxing or semi contact kick boxing ( no knock out ) in the Junior Division.  Protective head gear is mandatory, and no use of the knees or elbows is allowed for striking.  Kids may compete in semi contact kick boxing. Protective head gear with face shield is mandatory, and a body protector must be worn. Teens, or Juniors, and kids may compete in submission wrestling and sport Karate tournaments.  No punching, striking or kicking is allowed in submission wrestling.


The training is intense for one and a half hours, each class! You do not have to compete. You are welcome to train with us just for the fitness work out and the valuable self defense skills you will learn.  However, the attitude of
the club is ...train as though you are going to compete!  If you develop this attitude, you will get the most out of every training session ...and you will achieve an extraordinary fitness level!  We train to achieve the fitness level of world class athletes! 

We now have two full size cage walls set up in our gym.  This enables fighters to practice techniques against actual cage walls, to advance their cage fighting skills!  And, it is an excellent training tool for self defense...  you learn how to defend yourself when you are pushed up against a wall, which is often the case in self defense situations.  The slight flexibility of the cage wall prevents injury when training in self defense techniques.

This is NOT aerobic kick boxing!  This is cage and ring competition level training.  We do allow beginners to work at their own pace, which we realize may not be that strong in the beginning...we all started there! However, if your training goal is just overall fitness, kick boxing and MMA is  the number one calorie burning exercise! As your fitness level and skills increase, you will find that your stamina and strength levels will allow you to increase your work out intensity.  And, we do like to have fun while we train too!  This is a club...everyone helps each other with their training, so everyone may achieve their goals......lasting friendships are forged here. Working together, to achieve our goals...
