Master LaCross (Sensei) has trained in Karate and various martial arts for almost fifty years. Through his extensive travels, he has had the opportunity to study with some of the martial art legends of this century. Awarded his 1st degree Black Belt in Shotokan Karate in 1964, Sensei LaCross opened his first Karate Dojo in Alpena, MI, The Red Dragon Karate Club (1969). While residing in Southern Michigan, Sensei LaCross began his study of Tang Soo Do and achieved the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt (1975) He was the owner and Chief Instructor of The Battle Creek Karate Club and Professional Karate Studios. Moving to the West Coast, Sensei LaCross opened martial arts schools in Los Angeles, San Fransisco and Portland. Or.
While on the West Coast, Sensei LaCross began extensive training as an Executive Protection Specialist (body guard) training under some of the best specialists in the world, including Secret Service and LAPD SWAT instructors. Sensei LaCross was Chief Tactical Trainer for International Executive Protection Agency in Beverly Hills, Ca. He is a Charter Member of The Tactical Response Association, a global network of civilian, military, security and law enforcement personnel.
Sensei LaCross has an extensive background in tournament competition and has been ranked in the Top Ten nationally and in the state of Michigan. He has trained state and national champions as young as 10 yrs old. Sensei LaCross has trained and promoted eighteen Black Belts in the Alpena area.
In 2003, he opened the Alan LaCross Martial Arts Training Center in Alpena, which also houses the Northside Fight Club, an MMA and kick boxing facility. Sensei LaCross teaches an eclectic blend of martial arts based on his extensive experience as a body guard, bouncer, competitor and traditional martial artist.
Hobbies and Interests: SCUBA diving, travel, art, movies, music, motor cycles, science, philosophy, reading, world politics, ecology, oceanography, spirituallity, world peace.

Training under the direction of Master Alan LaCross, Sensei Schepke ( Tim ) received his 3rd Degree Balck Belt in 2007. Sensei Tim is well known and respected for his amazing array of expert kicking techniques, his expertise with traditional martial arts weapons.and his spectacular board and brick breaking demonstrations! His knowledge of self defense techniques is impressive as well, and Sensei Tim continues to study and expand his knowledge in that field, to the benefit of his students!
An avid tournament competitor, Sensei Tim always places in the Top Three of his division, often placing First in every division he enters ( fighting, empty hand forms, weapons forms and breaking. )
As an Instructor at the Alan LaCross Martial Arts Training Center, Sensei Tim sets an example for his students to follow not only as a top notch, proffesional martial artist, but also as a well mannered, respectfull ( and respected ) role model.

Sensei Schepke keeps busy managing his own business Productive Cedar Products, which builds kids play houses and deer blinds of White Cedar. He also is a computor whiz and does everything from Networking computers and fixing viruses to installing operating systems, plus building or upgrading computers.
His favorite activities are deer hunting, roller blading, snow mobiles and ATV's, computors, and watching his favorite t.v. show..."The Simpsons".
